Flora Martha is a community advocate, emerging criminal justice practitioner, and Operations Manager at L’Afrikana, where she contributes to the coordination and delivery of refugee- and community-led programmes in Kenya. Her work is grounded in community service, social justice, education, protection, and the belief that local communities should play a central role in shaping solutions to the challenges they face.
At L’Afrikana, Flora brings her experience in grassroots engagement and community coordination to the organisation’s operations. In her role as Operations Manager, she supports the coordination of organisational activities, community engagement, programme implementation, documentation, and collaboration across different areas of L’Afrikana’s work. Her approach combines practical community experience with strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills.

Flora is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at St. Paul’s University, building on a Diploma and Certificate in Criminology from the same institution. Her areas of academic interest include criminal law, law enforcement, juvenile justice, human rights, crime prevention, and the protection of vulnerable populations.
Before joining L’Afrikana’s leadership team, Flora gained practical exposure to criminal justice and law enforcement through her internship with the Crime Scene Unit at Mutuini Police Station, Nairobi, where she supported crime reporting, documentation, case-file management, data entry, community policing activities, and other investigative processes.

Flora is passionate about creating safer, more inclusive communities where refugees, women, girls, children, and other marginalised groups can access opportunities, participate meaningfully, and live with dignity. She combines her lived experience, academic training, and community leadership to advance local leadership and lasting solutions.
